Ice Skating

We went ice skating on Veteran's Day and had a great time. Here is Mike using a child's gnome on skis that helps them balance. They are quite useful, as you can see, makes me wonder why we don't have these in the United States. Perhaps ours wouldn't be gnomes, more like Wolverine and Batman. Though that might scare a child to peeing there on the ice to have Wolverine coming at him if he falls... maybe not.



Here is a video of Ashton ice skating. He picked it up pretty fast. Though I can't say the same for Mike and William. You can hear William asking Mike for a chocolate-covered apple they were selling at a nearby stand after he had given up ice skating for a while.



We have met some lovely people in the first days of coming to Stuttgart. They were kind enough to drive us around a few days rather than take the base buses everywhere. These buses take quite a long time to get places and once they didn't even pick us up! Anyway, here is William sporting the snowboarding jacket that his Uncle Ben gave him while in Mira's van. He made sure to tell everyone who gave it to him and what kind of coat it is used for. He has big plans for that jacket. He now wants Mike to build him an igloo.. good luck dad.




This is a working clock that is in a nearby restaurant. Every hour a boy goes across the brown section playing a pipe. Its quite elaborate and has something to do with Mozart. There is also a massive dragon that we sat next to in the right hand corner. The boys LOVE this clock. We have eaten here twice now because of the clock. The food is good too.
